Meet Libuša Němcová, a multifaceted artist whose journey is as inspiring as her art. Born in the picturesque city of Košice, Slovakia, Libuša’s early years were marked by a passion for drawing that, unfortunately, took a backseat due to life’s responsibilities. Like many adults, she found herself immersed in the daily grind, working as a 24-hour home help abroad to make ends meet. But life had more in store for her.

Libuša’s artistic spirit couldn’t be contained for long. Even as she juggled her job, she continued to express herself through dance, singing in the church, and creating in various forms. Her second marriage became a turning point, teaching her the importance of self-empowerment and reigniting her creative spark. With her children growing older, Libuša seized the opportunity to dive back into her first love: drawing and painting.

In 2016, a trip to Switzerland as a 24-hour home help exposed Libuša to the mesmerizing beauty of the Alps and nature’s splendor. This experience was a catalyst, prompting her to embark on a journey of self-education in painting through videos and books. By 2019, she took a significant step forward by enrolling in a course led by the renowned artist Didier Le Mar at the Beautiful Art Gallery in Košice. Under his guidance, Libuša discovered her affinity for oil painting and honed her skills in landscapes, portraits, and high oil painting techniques.

Today, Libuša’s art speaks volumes about her passion for nature, architecture, and the beauty found in Switzerland, Slovakia, and beyond. Her work has been exhibited in permanent displays in galleries across Europe and the United States. She has been nominated for the International Artist of Europe Award in Paris and has showcased her art at prestigious events like Miami Art Week.

Libuša’s portfolio is diverse, ranging from illustrations for children and adults to captivating paintings that capture the essence of Slovak topics. Her love for drawing, painting, and photographing the natural world shines through in every piece, reflecting her deep connection to our blue planet.

As Libuša continues to evolve as an artist, she remains open to opportunities that allow her to grow creatively and share her unique perspective with the world. She invites potential patrons, sponsors, and employers to support her artistic journey, as she dreams of showcasing her work in more exhibitions abroad.
