Zedd is parting ways with the trendy Encino, Calif. residence he bought Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner, who were the first residents of the roughly 15,000-square-foot Jae Omar-designed mansion after it was completed in 2019. The Grammy-winning DJ paid him the former couple $15.2 million for the property in September 2021 and are now asking a hair under $19 million for the contemporary-style home.
The six-bedroom, 12-bathroom home is the first of two homes designed by EDM producer Omar. Last month, Zedd acquired his second residence from the designer: an $18.4 million mansion, also in Encino. The sale marked the area’s most expensive real estate transaction in 2023. It’s no surprise, then, that the “Clarity” artist is looking to offload his older digs.
An emphasis on indoor-outdoor living throughout the home echoes some of the highlights of Zedd’s former Beverly Hills estate that ADVERTISEMENT toured in 2018. In that house, an atrium with an olive tree, high wooden ceilings and glass walls brought the outdoors. His newly listed Encino property doesn’t have a tree growing out of the ground, offers vaulted wood ceilings in the upstairs bedrooms and entire walls that move away to connect the home’s interior and backyard. There is also a focus on natural materials, especially with large amounts of rustic wood.
Out back, a long rectangular pool and outdoor dining area are shaded by an oak tree with wrap-around seating that wraps around its trunk. Other perks of the DJ abode include a garden, putting green, outdoor kitchen, fire pit and guest house with an upstairs cinema room.
