December in the art world means one thing: Miami. More than 10 art fairs will take place over a week full of events, which seems to get busier every year. For the benefit of those visiting the city next week, Artsy spoke to six art-world figures and Miami regulars to find out what to eat, drink and see during their visit.

Miami really comes alive during Art Week. The energy is magnetic, attracting artists, collectors and enthusiasts from all corners of the world.
In addition to visiting our great artistic institution, the Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), Allapattah should be at the top of everyone’s list. The neighborhood is now home to several longtime gems like Spinello projects, Mindy Solomon Galleryand the Rubell Museumas well as exciting newcomers like KDR, La Cometa Gallerye Márquez Art Projects. And of course I wouldn’t recommend the visit Space 23, where we recently debuted our fourth exhibition, “To Weave the Sky: Textile Abstractions from the Jorge M. Pérez Collection,” featuring more than 140 pieces by talented intergenerational artists such as Lee Krasner, Olga de Amara, and Igshaan Adams, many of whom have it has never been publicly exposed before. Visitors live an unforgettable experience.
When it comes to where to eat, Hometown Grill in Allapattah holds a special place for my family; it’s our favorite place for a satisfying lunch. Another favorite is House of Rome, a charming family run establishment that makes the most amazing pizzas. And for the quintessential rest stop between art fairs, you can never go wrong with the timeless South Beach classic, Joe’s Stone Crab.

We are very excited about the first season of our new gallery in West Palm Beach.
Miami Art Week will be preceded by a weekend of galleries in Palm Beach, with events at the galleries plus the opening of the annual season of the Bunker Museum. On December 9, we will keep the spirit alive with an opening party for Nengi Omuku.
In Palm Beach, they like to stay at the Brazilian cut and spend time in Café Boulud. During the day, it’s wonderful to hang out Norton Museum and the garden restaurant is fantastic. If you can’t find a reservation anywhere to dine in Palm Beach, go to The Breakers Hotel and hang out at Seafood bar, as they don’t take reservations so you might get lucky there. I also love to dine at Cologne Hotel e Imoto in Buccan in Palm Beach. You will find the best baristas at Composition Coffee next to our gallery on Florida Ave. We are there every day… multiple times.

Just three blocks from Art Basel in Miami Beach is Oolite arts, which features free artist studios and an exhibit titled “Bounce,” curated by Storm Ascher (of Superposition). The show is dazzling and includes works by Miami’s beloved photographer, Roscoè B. Thické III.
I just ate an amazing meal Tam Tam, a non-traditional Vietnamese restaurant in downtown Miami. Chicken wings are life changing!
It’s hard to overstate the quality of art at Art Basel in Miami Beach. I go every day, as the cabins get re-installed a lot. I just make lap after lap of the fair, making sure to walk every aisle both ways so I don’t miss anything. It’s art overload in the best way.
If the fair makes you scream for a quiet, sublime meal, head on over Stubborn Seed, where chef Jeremy Ford puts together dishes that look as good as anything at the fair. Try the truffle bravas!

I have a love-hate relationship with the city of Miami, but I am always pleasantly surprised with each new visit. Arriving in the morning, I go immediately Pure Life, which may seem basic but is always ready for coffee, breakfast or lunch. If I feel like going for a short walk I love it Panther Cafe besides… start the day!
For dinner, upstairs your house He always has great energy, but I also can’t forget my old school number one, Joe’s Stone Crab-always amazing Hotel bars are usually my favorite: the task has a nice and cozy living room situation, eo 1 Hotel or the edition they are great for people watching. Cipriani e socialist It’s always a good way to go out without going to a club, but unfortunately, it’s Miami, and the night is always new!

By the time you really need a break from the madness, head to Surfside to the Four Stations and relax and have a drink The Champagne Bar. I think it’s the nicest room in Miami and it’s the perfect place for some much needed downtime.
